The history of foundation:
The factory was launched on the 8th of May, 2006.
The information about the products
“Cahan Tobacco” was to manufacture tobacco production. At the moment filtertipped cigarettes under three names - “Cahan”, “Visore”, “Nova” are produced at the factory. In the near future the manufacture of two more filtertipped cigarettes will be launched. The used raw materials are bought frîm such countries as England, Austria, Belgium, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, etc.
The information about the equipment
The machines, making cigarettes, belong to British firm Molins and German firm Hauni. Productive power is 3000 filtertipped cigarettes in a minute.
The production line of cigarette packing belongs to British firms Molins, Marden Edvard and American firm Scandia. The productive power is 180 packs of filterpipped cigarettes in a minute.
General inofrmation
The productive power of the factory is 10 000 big packs in a month. About 70 workers work at the factory at present. Soon it is planned to increase quantity of workers up to 100 people due to an establishment of a new, more high-speed production line. All steps are taken to create good working conditions for workers, for example, they are provided with a free-of-charge dinner and seasonal clothes and a special transport is allocated for them.
Alongside with it on the basis of “Cahan Tobacco” the construction of a factory on a fermentation of tobacco is proceeded. The work on improvement of the organization of tobacco fermentation in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will end in the middle of 2008 year. Today there is a process on tobacco cultivation in Sharur and Kenqerli areas. Owing to qualitative raw material and the equipment adequating international standards there will be an opportunity of integration not only in a home market, but also in an international one.
